FRESNO, Calif. - The Canadian Football League (CFL) opens its 2025 season this week. The season kicks off with four former Bulldogs on active rosters in the professional league. The group of former players includes three who are entering their second years in the league, and one who is an eight-year veteran.

Erik Brooks
Entering his second year in the CFL after having his 2024 season cut short with a broken arm. He appeared in six games in 2024.
Had three receptions for 53 yards and a touchdown in his rookie season.
Added 17 punt returns for 166 yards and 13 kickoff returns for 287 yards. He also had two missed field-goal returns for 127 yards.
Six-year member of the Fresno State Football team (2018-23)
In 52 games for Fresno State, he had 128 catches for 1,548 yards and 10 touchdowns, 20 punt returns for 172 yards and one kickoff return for 35 yards.
KeeSean Johnson
Entering his second year in the CFL, but seventh year of professional football having began his professional career in the NFL.
After his Bulldog career, he was selected by the Arizona Cardinals in the sixth round, 174th overall, of the 2019 NFL Draft.
Last season, he had 56 receptions for 746 yards and five touchdowns for the Roughriders.
Graduated as Fresno State's all-time leader in receptions.
He caught 275 passes for 3,463 yards and 24 touchdowns in his Bulldog career (2015-18).
Keric Wheatfall
Entering his second season in the CFL, and fourth year of the professional ranks.
Appeared in and started seven games for the Blue Bombers in 2024, totaling 13 receptions for 273 yards and a touchdown.
Had professional-level stops with the Philadelphia Stars of the USFL in 2023 and the Philadelphia Eagles in their 2022 training camp as an undrafted free agent.
Spent three seasons with Fresno State (2019-21) and finished with 78 receptions for 1,286 yards and six touchdowns.
He began his collegiate career at Blinn College in Texas.
Kyrie Wilson
Enters his eighth year with the Winnipeg Blue Bombers. He signed a one-year extension to remain with the club on January 14, 2025.
Limited in some years due to injury, he has appeared in 55 career games with 157 tackles, six sacks and an interception
He was a four-year letterwinner at Fresno State (2012-15), finishing his collegiate career with 251 tackles, 14.5 TFL and two interceptions. He started 38 career games at linebacker.
Originally signed with the Oakland Raiders following his collegiate career.
