Prior to UAA, Long spent her junior season at Cal Poly Humboldt, where she was also named the CCAA Newcomer of the Year. Long started at Peninsula Community College, in her hometown of Port Angeles, Wash. At Peninsula, Long was back-to-back NWAC North Region Defensive Player of the Year and NWAC Freshman of the Year (2023).
