ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. , N.M. – The Fresno State baseball team is set to conclude the regular season with a three-game series against the New Mexico Lobos at Santa Ana Star Field this weekend in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

The weekend starts a day early with game one of the series set for Thursday evening at 5:05 p.m. PT, continues on Friday at 1:05 p.m. PT, and concludes on Saturday at 11:05 a.m. PT.

DOWN TO THE WIRE

The Bulldogs are only one week away from the Mountain West Championship tournament and are still battling for a top seed in the bracket.

Fresno State and New Mexico are knotted up at 16-11 in the conference standings.

The team who wins this weekend's series clinches a top two seed in the tournament, granting them a first-round by.

The regular season championship is still on the line, but not fully in the Bulldogs' control.

If Fresno State sweeps the Lobos and Nevada drops two games to San Jose State this weekend, the Bulldogs clinch the regular-season title and the top seed in the tournament.

If the Bulldogs win two games and Nevada loses two games, Fresno State earns the number two seed and a share of the 2025 regular-season title.

GO WITH THE FLOW

The Bulldogs' Aidan Cremarosa earned his third Mountain West Pitcher of the Week honor following his start on Saturday against the Spartans, the fourth of his career.

Cremarosa delivered his first career complete game in dominant fashion, shutting out the San Jose State Spartans on Saturday.

He struck out six batters and held the opposition to an astonishing .091 batting average.

Cremarosa allowed just two hits all game, both of which were singles.

BEHIND THE DISH

Justin Stransky has gotten red hot in the latter half of the 2025 season and earned his first Mountain West Player of the Week honor this week.

Stransky went 11-for-15 with a .733 batting average.

He crushed five home runs across four games, driving his slugging percentage to 1.800 with a .778 on-base percentage.

He didn't strike out once while racking up 9 RBIs and scoring 8 runs.

Behind the plate as the starting catcher, Stransky recorded 33 putouts, three assists, and caught one runner stealing.

He is also on the 2025 Buster Posey National Collegiate Catcher of the Year Award Watch List.

'DOGS ON THE MOUND

Fresno State's Friday and Saturday pitchers, Jack Anker and Aidan Cremarosa, have proven to be untouchable in the Mountain West this season.

Anker leads the conference with 97 strikeouts this season, closely followed by Cremarosa with 88.

Cremarosa boasts the best ERA in the conference at 3.97.

The Bulldog pitching staff as a whole owns the best team ERA in the league at 5.18, and the most stikeouts with 448.

In addition, the Fresno State staff has allowed the least amount of runs to score (290) and is tied with conference-leading Nevada for the least number of walks allowed (164).
