COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Fresno State baseball's Jack Anker has been named Mountain West Pitcher of the Week after his lights-out performance against BYU to start the 2025 season, the conference announced on Monday.
Anker pitched six scoreless innings against the Cougars on Opening Day for the Bulldogs and allowed only four hits.
He set a new career-high of 10 strikeouts to lead the conference.
The right-handed pitcher holds a 0.00 ERA and owns an early 1-0 record.
This is the second consecutive season that Anker has been named MW Pitcher of the Week after the opening weekend, earning the honor on February 19, 2024.
