Former President Donald Trump defeated Vice President Kamala Harris, earning a second term in the White House. Trump is the second president in United States history to serve non-consecutive terms.

Trump flipped three battleground states, winning in Georgia, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin, earning 276 electoral votes. Several states, including Nevada, Michigan, and Arizona, remain too close to call. The results in Maine and Alaska are still too early to call.

The Republican Party also secured control of the Senate and picked up a net gain of three seats in the House as of 10 a.m. ET on Wednesday. Numerous races remain too close to call, and the Democrats can still win enough seats to wrest control of the House from the Republicans.

Trump addressed his supporters at the Palm Beach Convention in Florida.

"I want to thank the American people for the extraordinary honor of being elected your 47th president and your 45th president," Trump told the crowd.

Trump promised the crowd that he would "help our county heal."

"We have a country that needs help and needs help very badly," Trump told his supporters.

Vice President-Elect JD Vance also addressed the crowd.

"After the greatest political comeback in American history, we're going to lead the greatest economic comeback in American history under Donald Trump's leadership," Vance said.

Trump echoed those comments, telling the crowd, "We overcame obstacles that nobody thought possible."

"And it's now clear we've achieved the most incredible political thing — look what happened; is this crazy?" Trump said. "But it's a political victory that our country has never seen before."

Trump also spoke about surviving an assassination attempt during a campaign rally in Pennsylvania.

“God spared my life for a reason," Trump said. “And that reason was to save our country and restore America to greatness. And now we’re going to fulfill that mission together."

Trump vowed to fight for Americans during his second term.

“I will fight for you, for your family, and your future every single day. I will be fighting for you with every breath in my body. I will not rest until we have delivered the strong, safe, and prosperous America that our children deserve and that you deserve. This will truly be the golden age of America,” Trump said.
