LeBron James' Political Agenda Damaged the NBA's Fan Base

LeBron James' Political Agenda Damaged the NBA's Fan Base
Ben Maller: “This was an underwhelming NBA Finals in large part because of politics that set the mood. The NBA chose to go down that path and LeBron was a big part of that. This entire experience has been a boondoggle, and it’s been an eye-opening experience. The NBA is admitting that they screwed this up, and all those slogans will not be on the uniforms or on the court next season. Why do you think that is? I’m going to go out on a limb and say the RATINGS have something to do with that. LeBron James, like him or not, is a politician, and he has entered the political theater. He is not shy about this, and he is actively trying to recruit people who have criminal records to vote... And I think we know who he wants them to vote for. A number of political figures across the spectrum took shots at LeBron and he deserves it. King James is 'Mr. WOKE', except when you ask him about China, then he has nothing to say. Or ask him about those LA Sheriff officers who were ambushed in a city where LeBron lives in. Then he just wanted to ‘shut up and dribble’ when it came to that. The television ratings have been a total debacle. They’ve been HORRENDOUS. If the Lakers win a championship, but no one is around to actually see it or hear it, did it actually happen?? This the year the NBA lost its mojo, and it’s not my opinion, it’s a fact. The Lakers have always claimed to be the most popular franchise in the NBA, but the American television viewer would beg to differ. We have just witnessed the lowest rated NBA Finals in history, breaking several records for futility for a television audience… This lack of juice for the Finals is a referendum on LeBron James’ impact. The NBA thought having LeBron in the Finals would be ratings GOLD, except they DIDN’T come, not this year. This is an indictment on the popularity of LeBron James with the casual fan.” (Full Segment Above)

Listen to Ben Maller explain why he thinks a 'WOKE' LeBron James, effectively acting as a defacto politician at this point in his career, has destroyed the NBA’s fan base with casual fans, and the historically bad Finals ratings are living proof of this revealing realization.

Check out the audio above as Maller details why he thinks LeBron is causing fans to turn their backs on the NBA.
