FRESNO, Calif. - The No. 7 Fresno State water polo team returns home to host the Bulldog Mini, featuring the Bulldogs, Fresno Pacific, UC Merced and the University of Redlands. The Bulldogs will play two games on Saturday, while hosting two neutral site contests.

Fresno State returns to the pool after having a week off following its trip to the Triton Invite. The 'Dogs are 5-5 on the year.
Fresno State remains the highest ranked Golden Coast Conference team this week, checking in at tied for 7th in the national polls.
The Bulldogs went 2-2 at the Triton Invite with wins over No. 15 UC Santa Barbara and No. 14 UC San Diego. The 'Dogs suffered losses to No. 5 Hawai'i and No. 21 UC Davis.
The Bulldogs lost back-to-back games in the losses to Hawai'i and UC Davis. It was just the second time in the last two seasons that Fresno State has lost consecutive games.
Fresno State has had two Golden Coast Conference Player of the Week honors in the first four weeks of the season as Abbey Simshauser and Brooke Ochoa have earned the honor.
Fresno State has faced only ranked opponents so far this season. This weekend's matchups will be the first unranked opponents for the Bulldogs.
Fresno State has played three overtime games this season, and are 2-1 in those contests. The three overtime games are the most in a single season for Fresno State. The Bulldogs are 7-4 all-time in overtime matchups.
The Bulldogs have scored 10 or more goals in all but one game this season.
Deep Dive on the players
Fresno State is led in scoring by junior Hailey Andress, who has 33 goals.
Andress is ranked second in the GCC in scoring.
Senior Brooke Ochoa is second with 28 goals. The senior Bulldog has now moved into third place in the record book for career goals with 171 as a Bulldog.
Ochoa also has 105 career steals with nine so far this season. She sits second all-time behind Daphne Guevremont (2019-23) with 114.
Ochoa has 116 career assists, including 10 this season, to sit second all-time. Again, behind Guevremont.
Ochoa has been held to zero goals just one time this season. Outside of that game, the senior has not scored fewer than two goals in a game this season, including a season-high five goals against No. 1 UCLA.
Abbey Simshauser is third on the team with 21 goals this season. She now has 93 goals in her Bulldog career, and is sixth all-time.
The Bulldogs have three of the program's Top 7 scorers all-time on the current roster in Andress, Ochoa and Simshauser.
Ashley Williams leads the team with 28 drawn exclusions so far this season. She is up to 90 in her career, the third-most in program history.
Fresno State has seen significant action from two true freshmen in Marit van der Kolk and Alexandra Schow.
In goal, the Bulldogs have rotated between Ida Tully-Giles and Islay Martin-Hill.

Redlands is coached by former Fresno State assistant coach Tamara Perea. This is Perea's first year as head coach of the program.
Fresno State is 9-0 in the series with Fresno Pacific.
Although an exhibition, Fresno State is meeting with Redlands for the first time in program history.
UC Merced is the other competing team this weekend, but does not face Fresno State.
