Warning On British Airways Menu Shocks Business Class Passenger

There was a time when airplane food was one of the grossest kinds of meals you could ever eat, but many airlines have turned that around, and some business and first class passengers are even treated to culinary delights that many consider gourmet. That's probably why one business class passenger on a British Airways flight from London to Chicago was so shocked to find an odd warning on the menu.

As he was looking over the options for food, he read about a venison stew with rosemary dumplings, roasted chestnuts and wilted kale, but then he noticed what was written underneath it. It read:

"Even though greatest care has been taken, due to the nature of the product there is a very small risk of bullet fragments that could be found in the meat."

The passenger tweeted it out writing, "You've got to be kidding me." Part of his surprise comes from the fact that on British Airways' own website it says their meals are inspired by some of the "World's top chefs" and are made with "fresh ingredients."

The man spoke to The Sun Online about what happened, explaining, "The two flight attendants I spoke with had never seen or noticed this before but got a good laugh out of it. One joked with me that this warning could be so all the Americans on board couldn't sue them. I told him he could well be right."

He was indeed right - British Airways released a statement that said, "These warnings are there as a precaution, and are common practice. We source the best British ingredients for our in-flight menu and this is no exception."

Nonetheless, the passenger didn't bite the bullet - he opted for a different dish.
