KFC Is Selling Fried Chicken Firelogs Because Of Course They Are

Forget Yule Logs, the sweet scent of extra crispy chicken could be filling your home this holiday season thanks to Colonel Sanders and Enviro-Log.

For a mere $18.99, you could be the proud owner of a firelog that supposedly smell just like Kentucky Fried Chicken's signature dish. The seasonal off-menu item debuted on Thursday with the retailer writing that the firelogs have been "imbued with the unmistakable, mouth-watering aroma of Colonel Sanders' secret recipe."

The logs (which do not come with a side of mashed potatoes or coleslaw, we checked) are made with 100% recycled materials and are "dramatically less wasteful and significantly more effective at making your home smell like fried chicken than burning actual fried chicken," KFC says.

Each 5-lbs firelog is good for 2.5-3 hours, which is plenty of time for you to cozy up with your loved ones and think about the choices you made through your life that allowed you to end up buying chicken-infused firelogs.

"When the weather outside gets frightful, just throw one of my logs on the fire, sit back and enjoy the delicious smell of my fried chicken in complete, cozy bliss," the log’s packaging says, channeling KFC's Colonel. "Just make sure you don't eat it. That would hurt."

The firelogs are limited to one per customer, and will be available on their website for $18.99 a pop while supplies last, so get 'em while the getting's good.

And just for comparison sake, a 12-piece bucket of fried chicken from KFC usually runs you around $20.49.
